After retiring from a relatively short career as a professional boxer, I found a new creative arena in fashion photography. Inspired by Steven Meisel’s powerful editorial State of Emergency, I realized photography could serve as both an artistic and political tool—allowing me to explore urgent social issues while operating within the visual language of fashion.
As my personal journey took unexpected turns, I sought deeper connection and meaning through portraiture and community-based photography. This marked a shift in my practice—from stylized editorial work to images rooted in presence, collaboration, and social inquiry.
Today, alongside commissioned work, I pursue artistic research that interrogates the role of photography in shaping history, memory, and power. My work critically examines how colonialism and racial narratives are inscribed into public spaces, archives, and systems of representation. Through a research-driven, collaborative practice, I invite audiences to engage with the past—and to imagine more just and inclusive futures.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients, such as VANS, Paul Mitchell, Jessica Faulkner, LA Weekly, QX Magazine, to name a few. My unique perspective—shaped by lived experience, academic rigor, and a deep sensitivity to representation—allows me to create work that not only meets visual and brand needs but also resonates with purpose and impact.
Whether you're seeking powerful portraits, thoughtful campaign imagery, or visually rich storytelling that speaks to the world we live in, my approach ensures each project is crafted with authenticity, intention, and care.
